Short Description
A Gravel Road Hill cimb from Little River for some of the best views of the Canterbury coast. A long downhill to Birdlings flat and return to Little River via the Rail trail.
Description

Before departing on this ride, check that the mouth of Lake Forsyth is passable. As the council reopens the channel once or twice a year, making it impassable.

There is 11.25km of climbing on this route, the highest point is 760m.

Ride from Little River travelling towards Christchurch. Turn Left onto Kinloch Rd, follow road untill it branches left into Okuti Valley Rd. Next Right is Reynolds Valley Rd for a Hill climb to the Bossu Rd intersection on the ridge line.

Continue right/east along Bossu Rd  to Birdlings flat. This is long down hill section and a easy ride.

Take the sealed road back to main road then take the Rail trail for a 10km trip back to Little River.

Return to Little River .
