Hop in to Waimate and enjoy a Wallaby pie and the Whitehorse Trail!
3km Long with a 260m climb. This is a good uphill climb on a winding hard packed clay single track with plenty of tight corners and pine trees to negotiate. There are plenty of switch backs and tight corners to begin with - including a tight 180 degree bend in the track that's a good test of skill. Watch out for the local Downhillers, as some halfbaked jumps at the top of the track indicate activity in the area.. The Waimate council has a description of this and other tracks in the area at: http://www.waimatedc.govt.nz/Waimate/Attractions/Mountainbiketrails.htm |
