Mike Allison has organised this years Queen Charlotte Track MTB ride.

The 15 places for were quickly filled. Any club member wishing to join the ride must now organise their own accommodation and ferry transport – though extra people are more than welcome to car pool with the rest of the crew, and we already have an extra person tagging along. So the more the merrier.

The Club has paid the deposits for the accommodation – Mike will be contacting people shortly to organise collection of the deposits.

Each club member is responsible for paying the balance upon check in to the Accommodation.

No deposit was necessary for the ferry. - though each club member will need to pay $75 to the ferry line before they board.

Organising Food

There are many options for organising food. Riders should decide in advance what they want to eat – Mike will ring round shortly and find out who wants to dine at the Restaurants and who doesn't. Bookings for the restaurants may be necessary if the track busy.

Riders should bring their own food for the riding the track – this can be stashed in luggage as the ferries will be transporting our packs/clothes for us. For those that are unprepared the Accommodation places on the track can provide day packs.

General Notes

Take sleeping bags, gear and clothing that is needed, some food (snacks etc) and money (pay for pp accommodation) and whatever else you may wish to buy.

Nearer the time, we will discuss car pooling. Mike will be able to take about 3-4 people. Please help out with petrol costs, especially due to today’s prices.
